Material Planning & Control Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Material Planning & Control Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. This position is responsible for ensuring material availability to support production requirements through effective material planning, inventory control, procurement coordination, and supply chain management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and import/export operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material planning strategies to support production requirements.
• Manage MRP planning activities and release demand forecasts.
• Generate procurement requirements for direct materials, MRO supplies, and spare parts.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and conduct variance analysis.
• Establish and achieve inventory targets while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Analyze inventory levels and implement improvement actions to optimize stock management.
• Prepare reports and data analysis using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate activities with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to material flow, logistics flow, and information flow.
• Manage material reconciliations and support payment application processes when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with MRP and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and material control.
• Experience supporting import/export operations.
• Knowledge of IMMEX, PROSEC, and other bonded manufacturing programs.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics or consumer electronics manufacturing.
• Mandarin Chinese communication skills.
• Experience working with international suppliers and global supply chains.
