Contract Manager (San Juan del Río)

We are currently seeking a Contract Manager or Contracts Attorney to support our client’s in-house legal team in a consulting capacity as an independent contractor. This role will primarily focus on contracts related to consumer-facing brands in the pet care sector.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including service, intercompany, procurement, and commercial contracts
• Analyze contract terms, redline agreements, and assess risk in line with established playbooks and guidelines
• Support contract lifecycle management (CLM), including process improvements and implementation initiatives
• Assist with operational and legal processes, such as compliance activities, corporate documentation, coordination with local counsel, and internal systems (e.g., Blueprint)
• Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, procurement, and business teams) to efficiently move contracts forward
• Manage and prioritize multiple contract requests from across the business in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Availability to work full time onsite (Querétaro, México)
• 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to contract management
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities independently
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Experience working in-house or closely with business teams is strongly preferred
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
