Test Automation Engineer (Guadalajara)

Overview

In Omron México we are looking for our next Test Automation Engineer based in Guadalajara. Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies (ORT) is a technology development company in the field of industrial robots. Our company develops new electronics, mechanics, and software for a broad spectrum of robots – including SCARA, articulated, parallel link, cobots, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

Omron is the leader in the field of industrial automation with operations in over 40 countries and 150 locations worldwide. For our Robots Software Development Teams, located in Guadalajara, Mexico, we are looking for a high‑potential test automation engineer to build and support teams testing software and hardware platforms. You will be developing test automation platforms for robotics solutions in the field of industrial automation. Working on the DevSecOps team close to developers, you will be involved in supporting teams during all phases of development, from gathering requirements to releasing products.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation Processes: Create the best solutions for the requirements.
• Testing and Reporting: Create automated quality testing and reporting processes.
• Kaizen: Pursue personal and team improvement and help elevate the team.
• Monitor: Assess testing posture and ensure compliance with secure SDLC processes.
• Collaborate with product teams to define how new features should be tested and contribute automated tests.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Represent Omron using Omron Guiding Principles with professionalism, ethics, and social responsibility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar position; 3+ years in test automation with a variety of tools and automation platforms.
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Scrum development process.
• Experience with real-time operating systems.
• Experience in motion and robotics.
• Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
