SKFislookingforaproactiveandanalyticalDirectMaterialsBuyertojoinourPurchasingteamattheMonterreyPlantinGuadalupe,NuevoLeón.

Inthisrole,youwillmanagetheoperationalpurchasingactivitiesforassigneddirectmaterialcategories,supporttheimplementationoflocal,regional,andglobalsourcingstrategies,andcollaboratecloselywithinternalstakeholdersandsuppliers.Youwillberesponsibleforsuppliernegotiations,costanalysis,contractimplementation,sourcingprojects,supplierperformance,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

Thepositionrequiresautonomy,stronganalyticalcapabilities,advancednegotiationskills,andtheabilitytooperateeffectivelyinamulticulturalandcross-functionalenvironment.Therolesupportsbothinternalandexternalcustomersandoffersapotentialdevelopmentpathtowardamanagementposition.

KeyResponsibilities

• ManagepurchasingactivitiesforassigneddirectmaterialcategoriesinaccordancewithSKFpurchasingstrategies,policies,andestablishedframeworks.
• Reviewpurchaserequisitionsandidentifyappropriatesourcesofsupplyforoperationalandspot-buyingrequirements.
• Negotiatecommercialconditionsandexecutesupplieragreementswithintheassignedlevelofauthority.
• Selectsuppliersandcontractsbasedonpurchasingstrategies,operationalrequirements,costcompetitiveness,quality,delivery,andapplicableprocedures.
• Adviseinternalstakeholdersthroughoutthepurchasingcycle,includingtheevaluationofcost-effectivealternativesandtheresolutionofpurchasing-relatedissues.
• Collaboratewithsuppliersandinternaluserstoresolvecommercial,operational,quality,andsupply-relatedconflicts.
• MonitorsupplierperformanceaccordingtoestablishedQCDIMprocessesandcoordinatecorrectiveactionswhenrequired.
• Trackpurchasingspend,supplierpricing,materialcosts,forecasts,andvolumestosupportbusinessplanningandstandardcostcalculations.
• Supporttheimplementationofpurchasingprocesses,systems,sustainabilityrequirements,CSRinitiatives,andsupplierdevelopmentactivities.
• Participateinlocal,regional,andglobalstrategicsourcinginitiatives.
• Providelocalmarketinformationandpurchasingdatatoglobalandregionalcategorymanagementteams.
• SupportRFIandRFPprocesses,includinginformationvalidation,supplierevaluation,andsupplierselection.
• CollaboratewithGlobalCategoryManagersandinternalstakeholderstoensurethesuccessfullocalimplementationofsourcingstrategiesandnewcontracts.
• Monitorcontractcompliancewithinternalstakeholdersandsuppliers,identifyingandimplementingcorrectiveactionswhennecessary.
• SupportSeniorBuyersandthePurchasingManagerinbiddingprocesses,suppliermanagement,andsourcinginitiativesforuniqueorspecializedcategories.
• Executeinternalapprovalandindustrializationprocessesfornewprojects,ensuringalignmentwithAPQP,QCDIM,andcustomer-specificrequirements.
• Identify,analyze,validate,implement,andreportcost-savinginitiativesincollaborationwithsuppliers,categorymanagers,andinternalstakeholders.
• PerformallpurchasingactivitiesinaccordancewiththeSKFCodeofConduct,EnvironmentalHealthandSafetyrequirements,theQualityManagementSystem,andapplicableinternalpolicies.

Professional

• Experience4to6yearsofprofessionalexperienceindirectmaterialspurchasing,strategicsourcing,supplychain,orarelatedprocurementfunction.
• Previousexperienceintheautomotiveorindustrialmanufacturingsector.
• Experiencemanagingdirectmaterialcategoriessuchasmetalliccomponents,plastics,forgings,seals,orsimilarcommoditiesispreferred.
• Demonstratedexperienceinsuppliermanagement,commercialnegotiations,sourcingprojects,andcost-savinginitiatives.
• Experienceworkingwithmulticulturalandcross-functionalteams.
• Experiencesupportingnewproductintroduction,industrialization,orsupplierdevelopmentprojectsisdesirable.
