As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Manager (Advanced English), and be part of our Commercial team in San Luis Potosi, Mx.

Objective: The Technical Sales Manager serves as a commercial leader and market developer, working closely with our commercial team and distribution partners to create demand, promote stainless steel adoption, and develop sustainable growth opportunities. The role combines the need of a strong technical understanding of materials and manufacturing processes to support commercial development, customer acquisition, and strategic market expansion across Latin America. This position partners closely with sales, product, engineering and customer solutions teams to articulate and quantify the value of solutions, ensuring alignment with customer goals.

Requirements: Advanced written and spoken English proficiency required to conduct business across international customers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, commercial management, market development, technical sales, or strategic account management within industrial, manufacturing, metals, building products, or related industries.
• Demonstrated track record of developing new business opportunities and delivering measurable revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of industrial, manufacturing, or enterprise software solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute growth strategies.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record of working with distributors, OEMs, fabricators, industrial manufacturers, or end users. Experience with stainless steel and related end use applications is a plus.
• Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce).
• Travel 40-50% mostly in Mexico.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new business and market expansion opportunities across Latin America by identifying, evaluating, and advancing distributor partners growth initiatives, including end-use applications where alternative materials are currently used.
• Create demand for stainless steel solutions by positioning Outokumpu’s products as the preferred material choice and demonstrating economic, operational, sustainability, and lifecycle benefits to customers and stakeholders.
• Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline in collaboration with the sales organization, including growth strategies, commercial initiatives, strategic account development and profitable margin expansion.
• Manage a limited portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the sales manager responsible for maintaining relationships, supporting customer needs, delivering quotations, negotiating pricing, and driving profitable account growth.
• Lead customer engagement with key decision makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting long-term partnerships with distributors, OEMs, fabricators, industrial manufacturers, and end users.
• Develop value propositions, business cases, and commercial arguments that clearly articulate the benefits of Outokumpu’s stainless steel solutions and support specification, quotation, and application-review processes.
• Support negotiations and commercial discussions to secure profitable business growth and ensure alignment with customer needs, internal capabilities, and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate internal technical and cross-functional resources across sales, product engineering, operations, quality, and customer solutions teams to develop customer-focused solutions and execute growth initiatives successfully.
• Provide technical guidance when required during customer discussions, product recommendations, application reviews, and opportunity development.
• Gather market feedback and customer insights to influence commercial strategy, product offerings, and future growth initiatives.
• Represent the company in customer visits, industry events, trade associations, and technical conferences to promote stainless steel solutions, strengthen market presence, and identify new opportunities.
