Inside Project Engineer

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Inside Project Engineer.What you’ll do:Job Summary:This is a technical project support role focused on electrical projects , where you will be responsible for reviewing drawings, validating equipment configurations, managing project documentation, and coordinating with multiple internal teams to ensure projects are executed accurately and efficiently.This role combines electrical engineering knowledge, strong English communication skills, and project coordination abilities . Success in this role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, customer focus, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, sales, project management, and manufacturing teams.Primary activities to include:Breaker placementNameplatesGear orientation top/bottomLug sizes – check cable scheduleDrawing package to bidman comparisonSubmittal comment mark-ups swbds & belowThird party documentation uploadJob Responsibilities:Technical aptitudeBasic education requirements = ISEComputer proficiency, Microsoft programs, Excel etc.Proficient English language written and verbal communication skillsAbility to develop customer relationships and work in collaborative team environmentsDevelop and maintain relationships with internal customers for assigned projectsLeverage internal contacts to drive issues to closureReview and interpret contract drawings ensuring technical accuracyExecute technical changes to the bill of materialInterpret engineered-to-order drawingsPursue continuous learning of products and applications related to engineered productsCollaborates with the Project Management Team including Project Managers, Sales Engineers, Project Coordinators, other Project Engineers, and the Documentation TeamLead verbal or written communication with internal stakeholders to address technical scope and design concernsReview and collaborate with 3rd party systems for uploading project documentationProvide weekly progress updates on existing issues until items are closedPrioritize workload to manage deliverablesParticipate in internal team calls to engage help where needed to resolve issuesPerform all other duties as required by Manager#LI-KL1Qualifications:Education Level Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution preferredYears and Area of Experience Required:Minimum experience (2-3 years)Technical Knowledge:Commercial experience (Electrical assemblies knowledge a plus)Sales and/or marketing experienceAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentStrong communication skills (Fully fluent in English- Read/Write/Speak)Working knowledge of Eaton proprietary software is a plus (Bidmanager, Vista, Order Center, C360)Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organizationThe candidate must possess a strong understanding of the engineering technologies of Eaton’s electrical product offerings at the component and assembly levelsPossess necessary computer skills including Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, internet and Microsoft Office applications, and other product configuration toolsSoft Skills:Drive for resultsMakes Decisions & Solves ProblemsDemonstrates a Collaborative StylePromotes and Champions ChangeBusiness AcumenPursues personal developmentLeadershipAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
