The Project Engineer will support the customer in the planning, coordination, and execution of new equipment installations within an existing manufacturing environment, ensuring the seamless integration of new production assets while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations and maintaining alignment with project objectives, timing, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the customer in planning, coordinating, and executing new equipment installations.
• Ensure seamless integration of new production assets while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations and aligning with project objectives, timing, and quality requirements.
• Support the development and maintenance of detailed installation and commissioning plans, coordinating cross‑functional planning activities between production, maintenance, logistics, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress against defined milestones and proactively identify schedule risks and potential bottlenecks.
• Ensure installation activities are executed in accordance with safety, operational, and production requirements within the brownfield environment.
• Facilitate regular project review meetings and maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders.
• Track action items, dependencies, and critical path activities to ensure on‑time project execution.
• Coordinate equipment suppliers and contractors during installation and ramp‑up phases.
• Prepare and present weekly project status reports to customer management.
• Monitor project timelines, key performance indicators, and milestone achievement.
• Maintain project documentation, risk registers, and action tracking systems.
• Escalate critical issues impacting project timing, cost, quality, or operational readiness.
• Provide management with clear visibility on project status, risks, mitigation actions, and recovery plans.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 4 years of industrial experience.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Experience in equipment planning.
• Experience in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Advanced or business‑level English proficiency; basic German language skills are optional.
• Project scheduling and milestone tracking capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and CATIA.
• Ability to resolve multi‑trade conflicts efficiently.
• Exposure to high‑impact industrial projects.
• Experience working with international teams and large‑scale manufacturing environments.
