Prin Specialist, Procurement (Onsite)

Position Summary

Established Procurement professional responsible for carrying out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, cost analysis, and supply chain management, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Purchase goods, materials, supplies, and services, ensuring terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices.
• Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.
• Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.

Qualifications – Must Have

• University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• 9 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
• Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Lean Principles.
• Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.
• APICs or ISM certification a plus (CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CPSM).
• SAP user experience for MRP is a plus.
