Corporate Treasury Specialist (Xico)

Overview

Are you a driven finance professional with a passion for treasury operations and a regional mindset? We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Treasury Specialist. This pivotal role, based in Mexico, serves as the operational right hand to the LATAM Treasury Manager, offering significant exposure and growth potential within our regional treasury function.

Responsibilities

• Liquidity & Cash Management: Oversee daily cash flow, prepare critical forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly), and optimize liquidity surpluses through strategic investment options. Manage corporate bank accounts, including opening, closing, and signature administration.
• FX & Intercompany Operations: Execute foreign exchange transactions (Spot, Forward, Swaps) in coordination with the Treasury Manager to hedge currency exposures. Manage complex intercompany transactions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with local regulations like SAT and BANXICO.
• Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Mexican financial regulations (SAT, BANXICO, CNBV, SHCP) and coordinate with tax teams on withholding taxes and international tax treaties. Maintain meticulous documentation for SOX reviews and audits.
• Banking Relationships: Develop and maintain operational relationships with key correspondent banks (e.g., CITI, BBVA, BofA), negotiating terms and coordinating the implementation of banking services.
• Payments & Operational Control: Review, validate, and authorize payment instructions, ensuring dual verification and segregation of duties. Oversee the payment cycle for assigned LATAM entities and ensure daily bank reconciliation.
• Automation, Reporting & Process Improvement: Develop financial dashboards and treasury reports using tools like Power BI and advanced Excel. Identify and lead process automation initiatives using VBA, Power Automate, or basic Python, and participate in regional implementation projects for TMS (FIS Quantum, Trax) and ERP (SAP) systems.
• Strategic Support: Provide crucial operational support to the LATAM Treasury Manager, acting as a key point of contact and participating in high-level meetings to present liquidity positions and FX risks. Support financial risk analyses and hedging strategy definitions.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required. A Master\'s in Finance, MBA is a plus.
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, ideally within a transnational or multinational company. Strong experience in FX operations, cash management, and corporate banking relationships is essential.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, macros) is a must. Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle PeopleSoft (FI/TR) or corporate TMS, SAP FI/TR, Bloomberg/Reuters, and RPA tools like Power Automate is highly desirable.
• Languages: Advanced English (minimum C1).
