The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all aspects of Human Resources in Mexico, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, offboarding, and office operations. This role partners closely with employees, managers, and corporate teams to ensure a positive employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with Mexican labor laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is a bilingual HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting both people and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Post and manage job openings across various recruiting platforms.
- Source, identify, and attract qualified candidates for open positions.
- Conduct resume reviews, phone screenings, and initial candidate interviews.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and business leaders.
- Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process.
- Prepare offer letters and support compensation discussions as needed.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation.
Onboarding & Employee Integration
- Coordinate all onboarding activities for new hires.
- Prepare and distribute employment contracts, onboarding documentation, and new hire paperwork.
- Track and follow up on required signatures and new hire documentation.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding sessions.
- Ensure employees receive required equipment, system access, and workplace resources.
- Partner with managers to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.
- Conduct follow-up with new hires during their first weeks of employment.
Employee Offboarding
- Coordinate employee separations and termination processes in compliance with Mexican labor laws.
- Ensure completion of required offboarding documentation.
- Coordinate recovery of company equipment and assets.
- Manage deactivation of system, building, and office access.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Human Resources Administration
- Support daily HR operations and administrative activities.
- Maintain employee files and ensure data accuracy within HR systems.
- Prepare employment verification letters and other HR-related documentation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with employee relations matters and HR initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, culture, and internal communication programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
- Coordinate HR processes, audits, and documentation requirements.
Technology Asset Management
- Maintain inventory of laptops, monitors, mobile devices, and other company assets.
- Coordinate equipment provisioning for new hires.
- Track asset assignments and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with IT regarding hardware, software, and access requests.
- Assist employees with basic technology-related support.
- Support system setup and access provisioning for new employees.
- Manage equipment recovery during employee offboarding.
Compliance & Business Partnership
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Partner with managers to address workforce and employee-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR, Facilities, IT, Payroll, and Finance teams to support business objectives.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee experience, workplace culture, and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted resource for both employee-related and office-related matters throughout Mexico.
Minimum Skills Required:
- 3–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including Talent Acquisition and full-cycle recruitment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
- Experience with conducting investigations, support on talent/training matters, and performance management
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes for professional, administrative, and operational positions.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting multinational, shared services, or corporate office environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, payroll concepts, employee relations, terminations, severance practices, and other applicable Mexican labor regulations.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations within Mexico.
- Knowledge of U.S. HR practices and cross-border employment matters is a plus.
- Experience with employee engagement, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
