As a Senior Software Development Engineer, it’s up to you to define, design and refine the tech that keeps us one step ahead of listeners. Anticipate. Innovate. About the team

Joining our team provides the unique challenge and opportunity to deliver software that benefits many customers around the world. The Fraud Defense Engineering team sits within Audible’s inSpire organization. We build the tooling, platforms, and automated systems that protect the integrity and trustworthiness of Audible’s business for creators, listeners, and customers. Our primary focus is Fraud Defense — engineering the detection mechanisms, investigation tools, and enforcement capabilities that enable defense against Creator Fraud, Anti-Piracy Fraud, and Consumer Fraud across all marketplaces. We are also experts in ensuring that Audible meets its data handling and customer privacy obligations.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead complex technical initiatives within your team
• Mentor and support other developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding
• Explore technical needs and bring solutions to the table
• Establish and follow good engineering practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or equivalent
