Compensation : USD $2,000 to $2,500 per month, based on experience

Must-Haves

Working Hours: 8-hour shift within 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific)

Mission for this Role

Own day-to-day execution and optimization of domestic and international parcel shipping operations across multiple carriers, shipping platforms, and fulfillment partners. This role is critical to ensuring orders ship on time, at the lowest sustainable cost, with a seamless customer experience and full compliance with global shipping regulations.

Core Outcomes: First 6-12 Months

- Carrier Performance Control: Domestic and international carrier performance is tracked daily with clear KPIs, including on-time delivery, transit time, exception rates, claims, and cost per shipment.

- Shipping Cost Optimization: Rate shopping, service selection, and carrier routing decisions consistently balance customer experience with shipping cost targets.

- Cross-Border Excellence: International shipments move efficiently with minimal customs delays and strong compliance with IOSS, UK VAT, duty and tax requirements, and country-specific import regulations.

- System Reliability: Shipping platforms, carrier integrations, OMS, WMS, and 3PL workflows operate accurately, consistently, and at scale.

- Operational Visibility: Clean reporting and dashboards provide visibility into shipping spend, carrier performance, delivery outcomes, and operational exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

- Carrier Operations: Monitor and coordinate daily performance across domestic, international, and regional parcel carriers, including service levels, delivery performance, exceptions, and claims.

- Shipping Platform Administration: Manage day-to-day workflows in shipping platforms and ensure shipping rules, service mappings, carrier settings, and integrations remain accurate.

- Rate Shopping & Cost Management: Support cost-effective carrier and service selection by analyzing shipping rates, transit times, delivery promises, surcharge impact, and total cost per shipment.

- International Shipping & Compliance: Support customs documentation, commercial invoices, HS classifications, duties, taxes, IOSS, UK VAT, and country-specific import requirements.

- Shipping Analytics: Build and maintain reports and dashboards that track spend, delivery outcomes, exceptions, carrier performance, and operational trends.

- Issue Resolution: Investigate failed shipments, delays, customs holds, address issues, carrier exceptions, claim disputes, and delivery escalations.

- Systems & Integrations: Partner with internal teams and external fulfillment partners to troubleshoot OMS, WMS, Shopify, 3PL, and carrier integration issues.

- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with operations, customer experience, fulfillment, finance, product, and logistics stakeholders to improve shipping performance and customer outcomes.

- Documentation: Maintain clear SOPs, process notes, carrier playbooks, shipping rules, and escalation paths for repeatable execution.

About You

- 2-5 years of experience supporting ecommerce shipping operations, parcel logistics, carrier management, or fulfillment operations

- Hands-on experience managing domestic and international small parcel shipping programs

- Experience with major parcel carriers, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and regional carrier networks

- Direct experience with shipping software such as ShipStation, Shippo, ShipWise, EasyPost, or similar multi-carrier platforms

- Strong understanding of shipping platform integrations with OMS, Shopify, WMS, and fulfillment partners

- Working knowledge of customs documentation, commercial invoices, HS classifications, and international shipping requirements

- Understanding of Incoterms, duty and tax calculations, IOSS requirements, and UK VAT compliance requirements

- Strong quantitative skills, including Excel or Google Sheets, pivot tables, reporting, and operational analysis

- Fluent English, written and spoken; bilingual Spanish/English required

- Experience working remotely with US-based teams

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience supporting high-volume DTC ecommerce brands

- Apparel, creator commerce, print-on-demand, or high-SKU ecommerce experience

- Experience with carrier contract analysis, rate negotiations, or parcel procurement

- Exposure to international parcel consolidators and cross-border shipping solutions

- Basic SQL, AI tools, or comfort querying operational datasets

- Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, Loop, or similar ecommerce operations platforms
