Air Operations Executive (Import & Export)

As we continue growing in Mexico we are looking for an Air Operations Executive to join our Operations team and ensure the successful execution of international air freight shipments while providing an outstanding customer experience.

What will you do?

As an Air Operations Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing international air freight shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage air import and export shipments.
• Monitor shipments throughout the transportation process and proactively communicate updates to customers.
• Coordinate cargo releases with airlines, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and service providers.
• Review and process shipping documentation, including AWBs, customs documentation, arrival notices, and release instructions.
• Manage shipment files and operational records in CargoWise and internal systems.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and trucking assignments.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate shipment billing.
• Generate and maintain operational and customer reports.
• Coordinate AMS filings and other required regulatory processes.
• Follow up on customs clearance documentation and release requirements.
• Handle customer inquiries, operational escalations, and shipment exceptions.
• Support customer implementations and onboarding processes.
• Participate in regular customer calls and operational review meetings.
• Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure customer expectations are aligned with operational capabilities.
• Identify operational issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, carriers, customs brokers, and service providers.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Air Freight Operations within a Freight Forwarder environment.
• Experience handling air import and/or export shipments.
• Knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding operations.
• Understanding of customs clearance processes and transportation documentation.
• Experience working with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).
