Product Planning Specialist

We are looking for a Product Planning Specialist to join Daikin in Mexico City.

Daikin is a global leader in air conditioning and HVAC solutions, developing technologies and products that create comfortable, efficient and sustainable environments around the world.

Our Latin America organization works closely with local markets, customers, sales entities and global factories to bring the right HVAC solutions to the region.

We are looking for a product professional who has experience taking an idea from a market need all the way to a tangible product in the market.

What matters most is your experience with the product development cycle:

• Identifying and evaluating new product opportunities.

• Building the business case and defining the product concept.

• Working with engineering, manufacturing and global factories to gain support for the idea.

• Translating market needs into product requirements.

• Following the product development process from concept to completion.

• Bringing the product to market and supporting a successful launch.

In this role, you will apply this experience to the VRV business across Latin America, working with LATAM Sales Entities and Daikin factories to identify opportunities, define product strategies and drive the development and introduction of products for the regional market.

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience in product planning, product management, product development, product strategy, business development or a related function.

• Demonstrated experience taking products from market opportunity through development and launch.

• Strong market research and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to build a business case and influence stakeholders.

• Experience working with engineering, manufacturing or product development teams.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in HVAC or VRV/VRF is a plus, but it is not the only background we will consider.
