Buyer, Purchasing and Supply Chain

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Work model: Hybrid, minimum three days per week onsite

Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Employment: Permanent direct hire

We are seeking a Buyer to join the purchasing and supply chain team of an international restaurant services organization.

This position will support product availability, supplier and distributor performance, pricing analysis, inventory monitoring, promotional activities, and new product launches. The Buyer will work closely with purchasing leadership in Miami, internal departments, suppliers, distributors, bakeries, and restaurant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the continuous supply of competitively priced food, packaging, and restaurant products

• Manage and strengthen relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other supply chain partners

• Monitor supplier inventory, production schedules, capacity, pricing, and product availability

• Analyze pricing, costs, distributor performance, service levels, and supply chain KPIs

• Support new product introductions, promotional programs, and inventory depletion plans

• Identify and help resolve potential shortages, service disruptions, damaged product issues, late deliveries, and other supply chain concerns

• Coordinate communications related to distributor transitions, recalls, withdrawals, and recovery activities

• Prepare reports, timelines, pricing documentation, presentations, and business analysis for leadership

Requirements

• Completed four-year bachelor’s degree

• Two to three or more years of directly relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, or distribution

• Experience managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, or distributors

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams in Mexico and the United States

• Currently based in Mexico and able to commute to the Mexico City office

• Availability to work onsite at least three days per week, including every Wednesday

Preferred experience

• Food and beverage, restaurant, QSR, retail, CPG, packaging, bakery, or foodservice distribution

• Inventory planning, pricing analysis, promotional planning, or new product launches

• MicroStrategy or similar reporting tools
