Job Profile - FES Field Operator IV (FES_FLD-E) Job Purpose The FES Field Operator IV is a skilled field professional responsible for executing oilfield service operations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Baker Hughes operational, quality, and HSE standards. The position requires advanced technical expertise, independent decision-making capabilities, and the ability to support complex field operations in both onshore and offshore environments. The incumbent serves as a technical resource within the field crew, ensuring flawless execution, equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and adherence to Baker Hughes Core Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Continuous Improvement. Key Responsibilities Execute field operations according to approved operating procedures, technical manuals, and customer requirements. Perform rig-up, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and rig-down of Baker Hughes field equipment and service tools. Support drilling, completion, intervention, production, and related field service activities as applicable. Ensure flawless service delivery and operational performance during all phases of the job. Verify equipment readiness through pre-job inspections, function testing, and maintenance checks. Monitor operational parameters and identify potential issues before they impact service delivery. Assist in making field-level technical decisions to optimize operational efficiency and reduce non-productive time (NPT). Accurately complete job reports, maintenance records, operational checklists, and customer documentation. Equipment Management Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Ensure equipment remains compliant with Baker Hughes maintenance and certification requirements. Support inventory management and tracking tools, spare parts, and consumables. Coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization activities. Customer Engagement Represent Baker Hughes professionally at customer locations. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customer personnel. Participate in pre-job meetings, operational reviews, and post-job debriefs. Support the achievement of customer performance and operational objectives. Leadership & Mentoring Provide guidance and on-the-job coaching to junior Field Operators. Support competency development programs and knowledge sharing initiatives. Promote Baker Hughes operational best practices throughout the crew. Act as a role model for safety, quality, and operational discipline. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Safety Leadership Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Baker Hughes HSE standards and Life Saving Rules. Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and risk assessments before operations. Identify hazards and implement mitigation measures proactively. Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety systems. Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation. Promote a culture of zero incidents and continuous safety improvement. Environmental Stewardship Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and regulatory requirements. Minimize waste generation and environmental impact during operations. Report and address environmental risks immediately. Required Qualifications Education Engineer Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, Industrial, or related disciplines preferred. Experience Minimum 5 years of field operations experience within the oil and gas industry. Proven experience supporting both onshore and offshore operations. Experience working in high-pressure, remote, and challenging operational environments. Certifications (Preferred) Depending on geographical location and operational requirements: General Valid driver's license Permit to Work (PTW) training Lifting & Rigging Awareness Defensive Driving Certification Hazard Recognition Training Physical Requirements Ability to work rotational schedules in remote environments. Ability to travel internationally when required. Capability to lift equipment in accordance with company safety standards. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, derricks, and offshore structures. Ability to work extended shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Capacity to perform work in extreme weather and offshore conditions.
