Senior Project Manager - Freelance
Oxford Global Resources
Oxford Global Resources is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Manufacturing Engineer to support our client in a high‑impact consulting assignment based in Mexico.
We are seeking a hands-on, senior professional with strong experience in industrial project management across automotive , aerospace , energy or similar advanced manufacturing sectors.
Position Details
- Location: Home-based (Mexico)
- Travel: ~30% to Querétaro (Baja California)
- Contract Type: Consultant / Freelancer (using our umbrella company)
- Duration: 6 months (possible 12‑month extension)
- Workload: Full-time
- Start: Immediate availability required
Role Overview
The consultant will lead cross-functional engineering projects in a global environment, focusing on:
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Sustaining / continuous improvement projects
This role requires strong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and on quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage project scope, timeline, and budget
- Develop and maintain project plans (MS Project or similar)
- Lead NPI launches and sustaining/improvement initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
- Ensure compliance with Lean / Stage-Gate processes
- Lead project reviews and milestone gates
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues
- Drive continuous improvement and performance tracking
Candidate Profile
Must-have experience:
- 10+ years as a Project Manager in industrial sectors
- Strong background in manufacturing & engineering environments
- Proven experience in NPI and continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple global projects simultaneously
Languages:
- English – Fluent
- Spanish – Fluent
