Senior Product Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Enterprise Architect to lead the definition of architecture scenarios for a large‑scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The architect will drive architecture design from day one, covering both SAP core and all surrounding satellite systems and must be hands‑on and execution‑driven.

Responsibilities

• Define and document target architecture scenarios for SAP S/4HANA and all satellite systems.
• Establish and document architecture principles and design premises.
• Define integration patterns between SAP and external systems.
• Define data consumption and analytics patterns.
• Lead architecture definition efforts proactively, accelerating decisions and avoiding delays from excessive consensus cycles.
• Design architecture covering SAP core, integration layer, data platforms, and infrastructure and connectivity.
• Evaluate and define RISE vs non‑RISE scenarios, including trade‑offs and implications.
• Collaborate closely with SAP and Microsoft to validate and refine architecture proposals.
• Produce key deliverables such as architecture diagrams (current and target state), architecture patterns and standards, and decision frameworks with trade‑off analysis.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in the architecture landscape.
• Support internal alignment after initial architecture proposals are defined.
• Mentor internal teams and help strengthen architecture capabilities.
• Provide input on role adjustments or capability gaps within the current team.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Proven experience in at least two full‑cycle S/4HANA transformation programs, preferably large‑scale and multi‑country.
• Strong experience defining end‑to‑end enterprise architecture, including application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture and consumption models, and infrastructure and connectivity models.
• Deep expertise in integration patterns (APIs, middleware, event‑driven architecture) and extensibility approaches (clean core, side‑by‑side, SAP BTP).
• Solid experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, including SAP on hyperscalers (preferably Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud is a plus) and hybrid landscapes (SAP + non‑SAP ecosystems).
• Hands‑on experience with both RISE with SAP (managed SaaS model) and non‑RISE / self‑managed SAP deployments (on‑premise or hyperscaler).
• Experience defining architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with SAP, Microsoft, and system integrators in complex programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at executive level.
