Assembly Process Specialist Level 2

Responsibilities

As an Assembly Process Specialist, you will analyze and optimize assembly lines to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement.

• Analyze and optimize assembly lines to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Perform and maintain line balancing studies.
• Develop and implement ergonomic improvements.
• Design or adapt customized tools and devices for operator support.
• Define and validate process parameters for fastening, riveting, cup forming, and functional testing.
• Support welding processes (MAG/Laser) in analysis and impacts on the assembly process.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Lead process improvements to increase Direct Labor Efficiency (DLE).
• Participate in new program launches and industrialization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
• Drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Maintain reliability on function testers.

Plant Processes

• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Support production or parts suppliers for troubleshooting issues related to your field of expertise.
• Perform Engineering Change Management: analyze, validate, and implement process modifications; maintain local database of tooling and equipment to support capacity management.
• Provide feedback on plant status and recommendations for process issues; participate in tooling and equipment follow‑up and validations; support reception and start‑up of tooling and equipment.
• Ensure application of process standards and identify best practices within the expertise network.

Program Processes

• Simultaneous Engineering: ensure that checklists and guidelines for product design are applied.

Qualifications

At least three years of experience in automotive manufacturing or a similar industry.

Strong background in assembly processes such as:

• Fastening systems (torque‑controlled, error‑proofing, etc.)
• Riveting processes
• Cup forming operations
• Functional testers (efforts, noise detectors, measurements, etc.)

Experience in line balancing and work optimization.

Exposure to continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing).

Basic knowledge of MAG and Laser welding processes (support role).

Strong analytical skills for process optimization and line balancing.

Proven capability to improve direct labor efficiency and operator productivity.

Strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Salary Range: MXN 69,408.
