Maintenance Planner

About the Role

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing maintenance planning processes to support a transition from reactive maintenance to a proactive and reliability-focused approach. This role ensures maintenance activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed through SAP PM, improving equipment availability, maintenance performance, and operational efficiency.

The position works closely with Operations, FSQ, and Maintenance teams to support asset reliability, maintenance backlog control, preventive maintenance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Activities

• Develop, schedule, and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans using SAP PM.
• Create and maintain equipment structures, maintenance plans, and asset information within SAP.
• Manage maintenance work orders and maintenance backlog to support operational priorities.
• Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance, and backlog performance.
• Coordinate maintenance resource requirements, including spare parts, tools, permits, and work instructions.
• Support shutdown planning and maintenance execution activities.
• Generate maintenance reports and performance analyses to support decision making.
• Support reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning within manufacturing environments.
• Experience in food, beverage, consumer goods, or similar manufacturing industries.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance module).
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and maintenance work order workflows.
• Experience creating maintenance plans, equipment structures, and asset records.
• Knowledge of maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and backlog management.
• Understanding of spare parts planning and maintenance inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• English is desirable.
