Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry‑leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. The segment is categorized into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group focuses on optical‑based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group targets optical‑based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee the required levels of employee productivity and performance excellence to support the division's goals.
• Support meeting or exceeding budget targets to achieve top‑quartile performance while maintaining proper HR service delivery.
• Oversee the successful implementation of global HR processes within the client group.
• Partner with Division HR Manager/Director and client business team to identify and implement a compelling employee value proposition that enables them to attract and retain the number and type of talent required to close talent gaps.
• Partner with Division HR Manager/Director to take actions required to address talent gaps, ensuring the division has the right people in the right place at the right time.
• Effectively deploy performance management and rewards processes/practices within client group to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results and ensure retention of top performers.
• Hold client managers and leaders accountable for establishing and maintaining a positive work environment.
• In partnership with Division HR Manager/Director, identify the client group's human capital priorities over the next one to two years and the type and level of support required from HR to effectively address these priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the Region HR Manager/Director and Division HR Manager/Directors to ensure standardization across regions and divisions and ensure that the type and level of services fully support achievement of division business objectives.
• Coach client management in development and implementation of required programs and processes to establish and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, IT or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/experience.
• At least 5‑8 years of HR Supervisor experience or IT/HR Processes experience.
• Proficient in verbal and written English language skills.
• Work experience (assignment/project participation) in aligning client group leadership around organization direction, design, and governance/decision rights.
• Master's degree in a related area and/or HR certifications.
• Successful track record of performance in a Plant HR Manager role (e.g., First line supervision/experience).
• Successful track record in the deployment of general HR business processes or programs.
