Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer with strong expertise in embedded software development, AUTOSAR, and automotive cybersecurity solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and validating secure embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs while ensuring compliance with industry cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate cybersecurity solutions for automotive embedded systems and ECUs.
  • Design and implement secure boot, secure flash, diagnostics security, and cybersecurity stack integration.
  • Work on embedded software development using C and Embedded C.
  • Develop software for AUTOSAR-based platforms and RTOS environments.
  • Support implementation of HSM (Hardware Security Module) and SHE+ security features.
  • Analyze cybersecurity requirements and translate specifications into executable software solutions.
  • Work with communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, I2C, and SPI.
  • Perform software debugging, integration, and validation using tools such as CANoe, compilers, and debuggers.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards such as ISO 21434 and SAE J3061.
  • Follow MISRA C coding guidelines and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with system, hardware, and software teams to ensure secure and reliable product development.
  • Participate in design reviews, threat analysis, risk assessment, and cybersecurity testing activities.
  • Support root cause analysis and issue resolution for cybersecurity-related concerns.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development.
  • Strong expertise in Automotive Cybersecurity concepts and implementation.
  • Excellent programming skills in C and Embedded C.
  • Experience working with RTOS-based embedded systems.
  • Strong understanding of Automotive Hardware and Software Architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C communication protocols.
  • Experience in Embedded AUTOSAR and cybersecurity stack integration.
  • Knowledge of Secure Boot, Secure Flash, Diagnostics Security, and Cryptography concepts.
  • Experience with HSM implementation and SHE+ security architecture.
  • Familiarity with ISO 21434, SAE J3061, and automotive cybersecurity regulations.
  • Knowledge of MISRA C guidelines and secure software development lifecycle.
  • Experience using CANoe, debuggers, and embedded development tools.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of ASPICE process.
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Automotive Cybersecurity Professional (CASP).
  • Experience with Automotive-specific security challenges and threat analysis.
  • Exposure to penetration testing and vulnerability assessment in automotive systems.
