Data Developer (ETL)

TCS is looking for a Data Developer (ETL)

(Candidate needs to be located or relocate to Querétaro, CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey, it will be requested to attend office at least 3 day per week)

Key activities & responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ETL processes using tools like SSIS, ensuring adherence to established best practices, guidelines, and standards.
• Work with various DBMS systems, including Oracle and SQL Server, to develop and maintain database solutions.
• Build and optimize database objects, such as stored procedures, views, and functions, to support data integration and reporting.
• Participate in database upgrades and ensure compliance with database security considerations.
• Develop SSIS packages to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into the Raw Data Vault (RDV) and Business Data Vault (BDV) areas.
• Perform data analysis and assist in mapping source data to destination formats, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation for the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes.
• Provide support for QA, Staging, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments during data pipeline development.
• Learn and apply data governance and quality standards to ensure reliable and accurate data delivery.
• Work collaboratively within Agile framework to deliver efficient and reliable ETL solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced English communication
• Min. 3 years of experience in data development or related roles.
• Proficiency in ETL tools like SSIS and familiarity with other ETL frameworks.
• Solid SQL skills with experience in query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Familiarity with DBMS systems such as Oracle and SQL Server
• Exposure to data tools such as Toad or SQL Workbench
• Advanced understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with latest Data Vaulting best practices
• Knowledge of basic BI reporting tools (e.g, MicroStrategy, Tableau) and data analysis best practices is a plus
• Awareness of data governance, data quality, and metadata management concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
