Jr Java Developer

What You'll Do

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, quality assurance engineers, UX designers, and senior developers to implement business requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with databases and third‑party services.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production issue analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve application performance, quality, and development processes.

What You'll Bring

• Foundational knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and object‑oriented programming principles.
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic SQL query development.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to learn quickly and work within cross‑functional teams.

What Could Set You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of software development experience using Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot through academic projects, internships, personal projects, or professional experience.
• Knowledge of MVC/MVC architecture.
• Basic understanding of web services, microservices architecture, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Preferred: Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, JUnit, and modern DevOps practices.
• AI RAG experience a plus
