About the role

The Spclst, Prod Training is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technical training programs for production personnel in an HVAC manufacturing plant. The role focuses heavily on Cu brazing, assembly operations, and standardized manufacturing procedures, ensuring that employees develop and maintain the skills required to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs for operators, technicians, and new hires, with emphasis on Cu brazing, welding processes (MIG/TIG, hard soldering), HVAC component assembly, and standardized work instructions (SOPs).
  • Lead and manage the employee induction process, ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the plant environment, safety protocols, work culture, and operational expectations before joining the production floor.
  • Assess technical skills through practical evaluations, process audits, and competency certifications.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, visual aids, videos, presentations, and job aids.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external certifications related to brazing, welding, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training plans.
  • Track and report training metrics such as training hours, certification rates, and training effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate training records in the Learning Management System (LMS) or equivalent platform.
  • Provide on‑floor technical support to reinforce correct practices and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment or processes, ensuring personnel are trained prior to implementation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through mandatory training and ongoing reinforcement.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in technical training, process engineering, or manufacturing support roles.
  • Hands‑on experience with welding and brazing processes is required.
  • Experience in HVAC or metal‑mechanical manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Welding techniques: brazing, MIG/TIG, hard soldering.
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation of technical diagrams.
  • Training methodologies such as TWI, OJT, or similar.
  • Quality and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and LMS platforms.

Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Effective teaching and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead groups and influence behavior on the production floor.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
