Your Path to a High-Impact Healthcare Integration Career

As an Epic Interface Conversion Analyst , you will play a critical role in supporting Epic implementation and optimization initiatives through the design, development, testing, and validation of healthcare interfaces and data conversions.

You will work closely with U.S.-based healthcare organizations and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, reliable movement of clinical and operational data into Epic. This role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise in Epic Bridges while contributing to projects that directly impact patient care and healthcare operations.

This position provides significant opportunities for growth within healthcare IT consulting, Epic implementation services, interoperability, and healthcare technology transformation.

What You’ll Do

Epic Interface Development

• Design, build, test, and maintain Epic Bridges interfaces connecting Epic with external applications.
• Develop interface specifications, translation tables, and integration workflows.
• Configure interfaces in accordance with Epic standards and organizational integration architecture.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve interface issues and exceptions.

Data Conversion & Migration

• Define and execute data conversion strategies and migration activities.
• Develop and maintain data mapping documentation and transformation logic.
• Extract, transform, and prepare legacy data using SQL, HL7, XML, and related technologies.
• Configure Bridges and middleware solutions to support Epic data ingestion.
• Investigate and resolve conversion defects and data discrepancies.

Testing & Validation

• Lead unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing efforts.
• Develop validation scripts and reconciliation processes.
• Partner with operational and clinical stakeholders to validate converted data.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated information.

Go-Live & Implementation Support

• Support cutover planning and mock conversion activities.
• Execute pre-live and post-live conversion cycles.
• Participate in go-live command center activities.
• Provide post-implementation support and monitoring.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with Epic application teams, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
• Analyze business requirements and workflow impacts.
• Communicate risks, issues, and project progress effectively.
• Contribute to operational excellence and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Who You Are

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, Data Science, Health Information Management, or another related technical discipline.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with professional experience communicating with native English speakers.

· Epic Bridges Certification strongly preferred. Candidates without certification must demonstrate significant Epic interface experience and be eligible for company-sponsored certification.

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare interface development, data conversion, interoperability, or healthcare systems integration.
• Experience supporting healthcare application implementations and go-live activities.

Technical Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and supporting HL7 interfaces.
• Strong understanding of interface workflows and healthcare interoperability concepts.
• Experience with SQL, XML, data extraction, transformation, and data mapping.
• Experience configuring or supporting integration engines and middleware solutions.
• Strong understanding of data conversion methodologies, validation, and reconciliation processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Epic implementations.
• Experience with Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Ensemble, Health Connect, or similar integration technologies.
• Familiarity with FHIR and X12 standards.
• Prior consulting experience within healthcare IT environments.
