Program Buyer – New Product Launch

We are looking for a Program Buyer to support purchasing activities for new product introductions and product launches. This role will work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations and global Purchasing teams to ensure the successful sourcing and launch of purchased components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting product launches from the Purchasing function and is comfortable managing suppliers, quotations, cost analysis and sourcing activities within a cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide purchasing support for new business quotations and new product launches.
• Coordinate supplier involvement during the early stages of product development.
• Request, analyze and compare supplier quotations and cost breakdowns.
• Develop sourcing recommendations aligned with program requirements and global commodity strategies.
• Support supplier selection based on cost, quality, technical capability, capacity and timing.
• Coordinate purchasing activities throughout the product launch process.
• Monitor supplier timing, deliverables and potential risks that could impact the launch.
• Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality and Operations.
• Support APQP, PPAP, engineering changes and product validation activities.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial conditions for new programs.
• Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities with suppliers.
• Ensure an effective transition from the launch phase into regular production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing, Program Purchasing or related functions.
• Previous experience supporting new product launches or NPI projects is required.
• Experience with supplier quotations, sourcing and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP and automotive launch processes is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical and project-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
• Professional English proficiency.
