Senior Freight Buyer

The Senior Freight Buyer is responsible for negotiating and managing domestic and cross-border transportation services across North America, ensuring competitive costs, on-time deliveries, and high service levels with carriers and logistics providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers and transportation providers.
• Manage domestic and international freight operations across the U.S. and Mexico.
• Coordinate FTL shipments and ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with logistics suppliers and carriers.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor logistics KPIs such as freight cost, carrier performance, and delivery metrics.
• Support sourcing activities, RFQs, carrier selection, and supplier evaluations.
• Collaborate with planning, warehouse, materials, and customer service teams to support operational flow.
• Resolve transportation and shipment-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with logistics procedures and procurement policies.

Requirements:

• Experience in transportation, logistics, freight procurement, or supply chain.
• Strong negotiation experience with carriers and freight providers.
• Knowledge of FTL domestic and cross-border operations.
• Experience supporting North America logistics operations (Mexico/U.S.).
• Advanced conversational English.
• Experience with Excel, ERP, and/or TMS systems.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
