Advanced Purchasing Specialist

The position of Advanced Purchasing is located within the purchasing unit and plays a key contribution to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost estimates to sales department for Bill of Materials for new acquisitions.
• Define and execute strategy on every new awarded business to achieve established targets.
• Involve suppliers at the design stage and follow up on supplier and material status.
• Drive and control the change management process for components towards suppliers, Category Management and Supplier Quality.
• Analyze future material needs of Business Units and be responsible for technical changes until Start of Production.
• Control the sourcing process for pre-selection of suppliers, including requests for quotation and meetings.
• Ensure availability of NDA with each involved supplier.
• Recommend component derivatives and component or production process innovations to the project team and other interface partners.
• Effectively cooperate with CAT purchasing, following given sourcing and suppliers strategies.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or relevant professional experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing functions or 2-3 years of project experience.
• Capability to operate with different cultures and working with international teams on purchasing issues.
• Understanding of different foreign cultures.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
