Sr Scrum Master

We’re hiring a Senior Scrum Master with strong experience leading Agile teams, facilitating Scrum processes, and driving delivery excellence in enterprise environments.
This role will support a project in the reinsurance industry and requires a strong servant leader who can coach teams, improve Agile maturity, remove blockers, and keep delivery aligned across distributed teams.
Compensation
Contract (6 months+, potential extension)
$50,000 – $60,000 MXN gross monthly
Mixed scheme or contractor (honorarios)
Hybrid – Monterrey (2–4 days per month onsite)
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Advanced English mandatory
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
- Coach teams on Agile/Scrum best practices and team collaboration
- Ensure Azure DevOps (ADO) is updated accurately (stories, tasks, remaining work, dashboards)
- Track sprint health, blockers, delivery progress, and team capacity
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles impacting delivery
- Support Product Owners and help teams achieve higher Scrum maturity
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Help onboard and coach new team members when needed
- Promote a positive, team-first, Agile mindset
Technical Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on large-scale Agile projects
- Strong understanding of Scrum events, artifacts, and Agile principles
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience working with distributed/global teams
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Experience supporting continuous delivery environments
- Ability to adapt quickly to new teams and environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced English mandatory
Nice to have:
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance industry
- Experience with SOX or compliance-driven environments
- Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, IIBA-AAC, etc.)
