The Senior Indirect Procurement Buyer is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities for indirect categories supporting the Mexico business. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational continuity, supplier performance, cost optimization, compliance with procurement policies, and effective contract management.

The position drives sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, negotiation initiatives, and governance processes aligned with company objectives. The role also supports the implementation of procurement best practices, Preferred Supplier List (PSL) compliance, spend visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels, and overall business value.

In addition, the Senior Buyer acts as a key business partner between Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, and suppliers to ensure timely execution of business priorities while maintaining procurement standards and risk mitigation practices

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, bidding processes (RFQ/RFP), and commercial negotiations for indirect categories supporting the Mexico business.

• Manage supplier relationships, supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk mitigation activities to ensure operational continuity and service excellence

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, provide procurement support, and ensure alignment with procurement policies, governance, and Preferred Supplier List (PSL) requirements.

• Identify and implement cost optimization, process improvement, supplier consolidation, and procurement efficiency initiatives.

• Analyze spend, procurement KPIs, supplier performance, and market conditions using SAP, Power BI, and other procurement tools to support data-driven decisions

Requeriments

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, International Business, or related field.
• Fluent in English Will be evaluated during the process
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain roles
• Experience managing sourcing processes, supplier negotiations, and contract administration
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced business environment.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, food industry, or FMCG environments.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, RFQ/RFP processes, and contract compliance.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with spend analysis and procurement reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
