What will you do?

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who enjoys working directly with industrial equipment, solving technical challenges and supporting customers on-site.

This is a hands-on technical role combining field service, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer support activities for reciprocating compressors and related equipment installed in industrial plants.

You will work closely with customers, SIAD Mexico and international teams from SIAD Macchine Impianti , contributing directly to the reliability, performance and safety of critical industrial assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities at customer facilities, including installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on industrial compressors and related equipment.
• Carry out troubleshooting, diagnostics and technical inspections.
• Perform performance testing and operational checks.
• Support upgrade, retrofit and refurbishment projects.
• Conduct assembly, overhaul and maintenance activities in the local workshop, including compressor and valve overhaul.
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation and intervention summaries.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with customer personnel and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, customer requirements and company procedures.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve service quality and equipment reliability.
• Support customer care activities and contribute to the promotion of service solutions.
• Assist in technical training activities when required.
• Maintain assigned tools, instruments and equipment in proper working condition.

Who are we looking for?

Education

Technical High School Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Electromechanical or related disciplines.

Technical Skills

• Experience in industrial maintenance, field service or commissioning activities is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of reciprocating compressors, rotating equipment or industrial machinery is preferred.
• Understanding of industrial safety and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and engineering documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach to problem solving.

Languages

• Advanced Spanish.
• Advanced English.

Digital Skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and service documentation using digital tools.

Travel Requirements

This position requires extensive travel availability.

The selected candidate will support customers throughout Mexico, Central America and, when required, other international locations.

The role may involve:

• Frequent travel to customer facilities.
• Assignments that may last up to one consecutive month.
• Occasional work during weekends or public holidays based on operational requirements.
• Annual travel commitment that may reach approximately 200 days depending on business needs and project schedules.
