File resolution Specialist (Virtual Assistant - Paralegal)

Role Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail oriented File Resolution Specialist to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will manage unclaimed property cases from beginning to end, ensuring each file progresses efficiently through the recovery process.

You will communicate with clients, government agencies, financial institutions, courts, and internal departments to obtain documentation, resolve issues, and keep cases moving toward completion. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, thrives in a fast paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organization.

While a legal background is beneficial, we are primarily looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and eager to learn.

• Manage and organize case files throughout the entire recovery process.
• Review legal and financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Request, collect, and organize required documentation from clients.
• Communicate professionally with clients, financial institutions, government agencies, courts, custodians, and attorneys.
• Conduct research to verify ownership, locate information, and resolve case issues.
• Track case progress and follow up on outstanding items to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records within our CRM and case management systems.
• Collaborate closely with research analysts and other internal departments to ensure efficient case resolution.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, and compliance issues before submission.
• Ensure every case is handled with professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Fluent English is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
• Comfortable following structured processes while adapting to changing priorities.
• Strong research and problem solving abilities.
• Professional, reliable, and self motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, or similar case management software.
• Previous experience in legal support, paralegal work, law, financial services, asset recovery, insurance, banking, or a related field is preferred.
• College Degree (in Law, Legal Studies, Business, or a related discipline is preferred)

• Starting salary: $13,000 MXN per month
• Salary increases to $16,000 MXN per month after successfully meeting performance KPIs by Day 60.
