We are looking for an experienced Research & Development Manager to lead product innovation, process optimization, and commercialization initiatives while working alongside multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Position Summar

The Research & Development Manage r will be responsible for leading product development projects, manufacturing innovation, industrial trials, and process optimization initiatives. This position plays a critical role in developing new products, improving manufacturing performance, reducing costs, enhancing product quality, and supporting business growth while ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. The role will collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Corporate R&D teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to commercial production.

Key Responsibiliti es

• Lead new product development, product improvements, and innovation projects aligned with business and customer needs.
• Develop formulations and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, efficiency, consistency, and cost performance.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute pilot and industrial production trials, supporting scale-up from concept to full commercial production.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing challenges, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct product validation through sensory evaluations, shelf-life studies, and evaluation of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, trial reports, validation records, procedures, and manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and Bumble Bee quality and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in: Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Or a related discipline.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required

Minimum 5 years of experience

• Experience leading industrial trials and commercialization projects.
