Chief Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (required).
• 5 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Experience in Shared Services environments (preferred).
• Intermediate/advanced English.
• Strong ability to supervise, develop, and motivate talent.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and tax regulations: NIF, ISR, IVA, DIOT, IFRS, with monthly and annual compliance.
• Inventory management: valuation, turnover, physical counts, and variance analysis.
• Internal control and compliance: control design and documentation, SOX (preferred), segregation of duties, and risk mitigation.
• Corporate reporting: preparation of financial packages, variance analysis, and adherence to global deadlines.
• Intermediate SAP proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional Accounting team, ensuring accurate execution of the full accounting cycle.
• Supervise, develop, and motivate the accounting team, setting priorities and delegating tasks effectively.
• Review and validate journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Execute and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accuracy and within corporate deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with NIF / IFRS, internal policies, and SKF global guidelines.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, explain variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external audits, as well as with Shared Services teams.
• Optimize accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and promote best practices.
