Job Description

Accountable for monthly closing, internal controls and financial reporting and analysis for SFMS.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with closing the general ledger at month end, including preparing account reconciliations and submitting corporate required web forms.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and submit journal entries involving revenue and expense and balance sheet accounts for cash, accounts receivable, intercompany, accounts payable, accruals, and equity.
• Analyze cost center spend to understand variances to budget and review with cost center owner on a monthly basis.
• Assist in developing monthly forecast for cost center spend and international forecast.
• Provide business unit support with forecasting and financial reporting.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Assist in SOX testing processes.
• Analyze key performance indicators in all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
• Identify and implement process improvements that streamline accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience required, in public company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting standards.
• 3–5 years experience in manufacturing setting preferred.
• 5–10% travel required.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and abilities to facilitate effective teamwork with others.
• Develops and encourages original, creative and successful approaches to issues; continually improves processes; takes smart risks.
• Motivated individual, fast learner, and capable of working independently.
• Fluent in spoken/written English.
