Training and Development Specialist

Position Summary

SINBON Electronics Mexico is seeking an experienced and proactive Training & Development Specialist to oversee the planning, coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee training and development programs across the organization.

This HR member will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining auditable records, developing annual training plans, and collaborating with multiple departments to identify training needs. Overall, this role is expected to align the Mexico site's training practices with the Group's training policies and philosophy and develop local standards accordingly.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and experience working in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy, Planning & Administration:

• Develop and maintain the Annual Training Plan aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in collaboration with department managers and leaders.
• Identify competency gaps and propose development initiatives to address needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor regulations and training requirements, including STPS regulations and internal company policies.
• Maintain training records, attendance logs, competency assessments, certifications, and supporting documentation in an auditable manner.

Training Compliance & Execution:

• Prepare and organize documentation required for internal and external audits.
• Maintain training matrices and competency tracking systems.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
• Support technical training, compliance training, and soft-skills development initiatives.

Project Management, Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Lead training-related projects from initiation through completion.
• Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, EHS, and other departments to identify and execute training initiatives.
• Coordinate and ensure achievement of project timelines.
• Analyze training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback surveys, assessments, and operational performance indicators.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Training & Development, Learning & Development, or Training Coordination roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience developing and executing annual training plans.
• Experience maintaining auditable training documentation and compliance records.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional training initiatives.
• Knowledge of Mexican labor regulations related to employee training and development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within automation, electronics, automotive, or industrial sectors.
• Experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience participating in at least 10 internal and external audits.
• Knowledge of competency management systems and training matrices.
• Experience implementing Learning Management System (LMS) or digital training platforms.
• Project management certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
