About the role

Sr. Design Engineer professional assembles documentation packages, performs some calculations with regard to technical design, and develops detailed drawings using relevant tools.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Own mechanical designs, assemblies, and equipment layouts.
• Lead design activities from concept through production implementation.
• Develop and review 3D models and drawings using Creo Parametric .
• Ensure accuracy of drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Manage product revisions and engineering changes in Windchill .
• Maintain accurate part and BOM data within SAP .
• Make technical decisions based on performance, risk, and manufacturability.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles .
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical issues.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate deliverables with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and testing.
• Manage priorities, risks, commitments, and delivery dates.
• Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentoring.
• Identify and implement design and process improvements.
• Translate product and business needs into HVAC design solutions.
• Lead design changes from definition through production release.
• Ensure design quality, manufacturability, cost, and schedule performance.
• Serve as a technical reference for the engineering team.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering.
• Five or more years of mechanical product design experience.
• Experience leading design activities or engineering changes.
• Experience with commercial HVAC or similar engineered equipment.
• Strong knowledge of parametric CAD systems, preferably Creo Parametric .
• Experience creating assemblies and production drawings.
• Experience with PLM systems, preferably Windchill .
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP .
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, sheet metal, and manufacturing.
• Strong technical judgment and independent decision‑making skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional technical discussions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
