Business Development & Sales Rep (Remote, Full-Time Growth Opportunity)
Remote | Full-Time | Base Pay + Commission | Contract-to-Hire
$1,000/month base, with realistic potential to earn $2,000–$3,000+ as you close deals and build your own pipeline.
NOT for you if: you're an agency, want a short-term gig, plan to juggle other clients, need heavy daily direction, or want a steady inbound/admin role rather than proactively creating new business — this role is built around hunting.
IS for you if: you want long-term growth with one company, you're energized by starting conversations with strangers and creating opportunities, and you're ready to commit through a 90-day eval into a long-term contract with annual comp reviews.
About Josh No Code
Josh No Code helps service-based companies migrate data into new CRM systems. We need someone who can both generate new business and close it — a hunter and a consultative seller in one. This evolves into a long-term, client-facing sales and BD leadership role.
Priority #1: Hunt and Build Relationships
The core of the role — proactively creating opportunities, not waiting for them:
- Sales Navigator outreach to CRM platform contacts, building relationships into referral partnerships
- Cold calling those contacts — comfortable opening conversations with strangers
- Active presence in Facebook groups as a genuine voice in roofing/construction-tech, engaging in CRM-switching discussions to generate leads
- Going deep with existing channel/CRM partners — real relationships with their reps, co-selling, expanding the partnership
Starts in your first weeks alongside training, not after you've "earned" it. Volume ramps as you build comfort, but day-one expectation is consistent activity.
Priority #2: Manage and Close Deals
Supporting work — straightforward execution any capable rep should handle well:
- Immediate response to inbound leads by phone/email to schedule consultations
- Detailed lead/customer-needs logging in our CRM
- Running sales scoping calls end-to-end and proposing solutions
- Follow-ups, estimates, contracts, and handoff notes for the migration team
- Persistent closing — multiple follow-ups before marking anything lost
- Light coordination with migration team during handoff
- Post-implementation follow-up for feedback, reviews, and referrals
Who We're Looking For
Two things that don't always come together — we need both:
- A strong communicator and consultative seller — builds trust on calls, proposes the right solution rather than a generic pitch.
- A genuine hunter — hungry, persistent, energized by the chase, comfortable with rejection.
Great on calls but only want inbound handed to you? Not this role. Love prospecting but struggle to build trust and close? Not this one either.
Other traits: organized, strong written/spoken English, responsive, calm under pressure, coachable.
Bonus points: CRM/SaaS sales experience, partnership/channel development, B2B sales, cold outreach, service-based businesses.
Growth Opportunity
As you prove out the hunting and closing motion, you'll own the sales process end-to-end — from sourcing the relationship through closing the deal — with an expanding book of partnerships you've built yourself. The relationships you build become your pipeline, and your earning potential grows with them.
Compensation
- $1,000/month base + 5% commission on closed projects
- Most months: $2,000–$3,000 total. Strong months — especially as your self-sourced pipeline grows — can push higher
- Contract-to-hire with a 90-day evaluation, then a long-term contract with annual comp reviews
- Potential for expanded compensation and responsibility over time
