Senior SEO Specialist (SEO + GEO)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist (SEO + GEO) based in Mexico. As a Senior SEO Specialist, you will co-own organic growth across technical SEO, content optimization, and emerging AI-driven search experiences. You’ll define and execute the SEO roadmap while helping the business increase qualified organic signups. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic ownership of content architecture, search visibility, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You’ll shape how content is discovered, understood, and cited across traditional search and platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Working closely with content, product marketing, analytics, design, and engineering, you’ll turn data and search insights into measurable growth opportunities. This is a fully remote individual contributor role within a collaborative and fast-moving marketing environment. Accountabilities - Own the technical SEO strategy and execution for the company’s web presence, including crawlability, indexation, structured data, sitemaps, canonical tags, redirects, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals. - Conduct regular technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console, prioritizing improvements based on business impact. - Develop content architecture and internal linking strategies that strengthen topical authority and organic visibility. - Own keyword research and prioritization, translating search and GEO intent into actionable content briefs. - Partner with content teams on editorial strategy, balancing bottom-funnel content, competitor comparison pages, category content, and topic clusters. - Establish and maintain quality, accuracy, and trust standards for high-stakes commercial content. - Optimize content structure and formatting for AI Overviews, LLM-powered search, and other emerging search experiences.

- Build and own the Generative Engine Optimization strategy, improving how content is surfaced, understood, and cited by AI search platforms. - Track AI visibility and share of voice across core categories using AI-visibility platforms, while monitoring competitive GEO strategies. - Implement entity, schema, and content strategies that strengthen how LLMs interpret and represent the business. - Set the direction for link building and off-page SEO, prioritizing relevant, authoritative, and topically aligned opportunities. - Identify link-worthy content opportunities such as data studies, tools, and thought leadership, and guide digital PR and outreach initiatives. - Monitor backlink health, including toxic links, lost links, and competitive gaps, and assess how off-page signals influence both traditional rankings and AI trust signals. - Collaborate with content, product marketing, design, and engineering to improve messaging, information architecture, and technical implementation. - Present SEO and GEO performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to marketing leadership. Requirements - 5+ years of SEO experience, ideally with ownership of the organic strategy for a B2B SaaS website. - Deep technical SEO expertise across crawlability, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and site architecture. - Hands-on experience with SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4. - Experience with AI-visibility platforms such as Otterly, Profound, or similar tools. - Practical GEO/AEO experience, including optimizing content for AI Overviews or LLM citations and demonstrating measurable results. - Strong understanding of content optimization, keyword research, information architecture, and internal linking. - A data-driven approach to identifying and prioritizing SEO opportunities, with the ability to connect organic performance to paying customers rather than focusing solely on traffic.
