managing, motivating, and developing management team.• Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.• Monitoring overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.• Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.Degree RequirementDegree or equivalent experience desiredSkill DescriptorsQuality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.Level Extensive Experience:• Interprets results of quantitative and statistical tools and explains results to others.• Communicates key benefits of a quality management process.• Conducts and directs quality reviews.• Develops expertise in quality assurance tools, techniques, and standards.• Develops quality assurance processes based on Six Sigma, ISO 9000 or Baldrige principles.• Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.Level Extensive Experience:• Consults on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection.• Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.• Designs and implements emergency response processes and procedures.• Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.• Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action.• Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations.Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.Level Working Knowledge:• Contributes to the development and implementation of specific manufacturing procedures.• Investigates the need to refer potential exceptions upward for review and approval.• Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility.• Participates in the implementation of manufacturing standards and procedures to one's own function.• Provides feedback for improvement of procedures.Production Scheduling and Control: Knowledge of procedures and tools for scheduling and controlling production runs;
