About the role::
Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics to lead a team of approximately 15 Advanced Analytics associates supporting the delivery of measurement, reporting, and advanced analytics solutions across multiple Strategic Business Units (SBUs), including Food, Consumables, and General Merchandise, Fashion & Electronics.
Reporting to the Nearshore Scaled Services Manager and operating in close partnership with the Media Insights leadership team through a dotted-line functional relationship, this leader will oversee the delivery of advanced analytics services while driving operational excellence, talent development, and execution across a team of approximately 15 associates. The role is accountable for meeting operational goals within Nearshore Scaled Services while ensuring alignment with Media Insights methodologies, quality standards, and strategic priorities.
Success in this role requires balancing people leadership, operational execution, and analytical expertise. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Sales, Account Strategy, Product, Measurement, and cross-functional Media Insights teams across onshore, offshore, and nearshore organizations to deliver scalable, customer-focused analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for developing talent while continuously improving operational effectiveness.
What You'll Do:
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 Advanced Analytics associates across multiple experience levels.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance discussions, and career development conversations to support associate growth.
- Manage performance proactively, recognizing high performance while addressing development opportunities in a timely and constructive manner.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring, succession planning, and organizational development.
Operational Excellence
- Own day-to-day operations for the Advanced Analytics team, ensuring consistent delivery against service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and business priorities.
- Lead capacity planning, workload balancing, prioritization, and resource allocation across multiple Strategic Business Units.
- Establish operational metrics to monitor productivity, quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify delivery risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Drive continuous process improvement through standardization, automation, and scalable operating models.
Advanced Analytics & Insights
- Guide the development and delivery of advanced measurement analyses, campaign performance reporting, and strategic recommendations for Walmart Connect advertisers.
- Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, actionable, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Partner with technical teams to identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities, automate recurring analyses, and enhance data quality.
- Promote analytical best practices and maintain high standards for methodology, interpretation, and storytelling.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted partner to Sales, Client Services, Product, Measurement, and Media Insights leadership.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and reliable execution.
- Navigate competing priorities while balancing business needs, customer impact, and team capacity.
- Communicate delivery updates, risks, and recommendations effectively to leadership and business stakeholders.
Strategic Leadership
- Translate organizational strategy into actionable team priorities and operational plans.
- Support the evolution of Walmart Connect's analytics capabilities through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Champion scalable solutions that improve efficiency while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and support adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working.
Data Quality & Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain quality standards across reporting and analytical deliverables.
- Drive governance practices that improve data accuracy, consistency, and trust in reporting outputs.
- Collaborate with Media Insights’ Shared Services and Automation teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and AI-enabled efficiencies.
- Promote documentation, knowledge sharing, and standard operating procedures across the broader Media Insights organization.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, insights, measurement, retail media, advertising, consulting, or a related analytical function.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing teams within a fast-paced, matrixed, customer-facing organization.
- Demonstrated success balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing operational metrics, team performance, and service delivery.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams through organizational change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Retail Media, Digital Advertising, Marketing Analytics, or eCommerce.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level clients or strategic advertisers.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Familiarity with campaign measurement methodologies, incrementality testing, attribution, lift studies, or media effectiveness frameworks.
- Experience leading globally distributed, offshore, or nearshore teams.
- Experience implementing automation or AI-enabled workflow improvements.
