We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as SAP ABAP Joule Developer

Job Summary

Serve as a senior ABAP Joule developer within a hybrid work model designing and optimizing cloud enabled SAP solutions that leverage core and advanced ABAP Joule SAP HANA development and upgrade or conversion projects. Use strong technical expertise and new product development experience to build robust and scalable features that enhance business performance and create sustainable value for global customers.

Responsibilities

· Design and develop robust ABAP Joule solutions using core and advanced ABAP techniques to support complex enterprise processes in large scale SAP environments that align with business goals and quality standards.

· Implement and optimize ABAP Joule development for SAP HANA to deliver high performance data intensive applications that improve reporting speed and analytical accuracy for business stakeholders.

· Execute SAP ABAP upgrade and conversion activities by adapting custom code resolving incompatibilities and validating system behavior to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations.

· Develop and maintain cloud ABAP based services that integrate securely with SAP S or four HANA and related cloud platforms to provide scalable digital capabilities for internal and external users.

· Refactor existing custom objects using advanced ABAP features such as object oriented programming CDS views and modern performance techniques to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability.

· Collaborate with functional experts to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and ABAP designs that clearly define data flows interfaces and expected outcomes.

· Create and execute comprehensive unit tests and integration tests for ABAP objects to ensure functional accuracy performance compliance and adherence to coding standards before deployment to production.

· Analyze production incidents related to ABAP programs identify root causes through systematic debugging and implement durable fixes that prevent recurrence and stabilize critical business processes.

· Develop reusable frameworks utilities and code templates in ABAP that streamline future development improve consistency across projects and shorten delivery timelines for new features.

· Document technical designs configuration details and operational procedures for ABAP components in a clear and structured manner to support knowledge sharing and long term system support.

· Work within a hybrid delivery model by coordinating effectively with onsite and remote team members using collaboration tools to align on priorities progress and quality expectations.

· Engage in code reviews and quality checks for ABAP artifacts created by peers providing constructive feedback and ensuring compliance with enterprise development guidelines and security practices.

· Participate in new product development initiatives by prototyping innovative ABAP and SAP HANA based solutions that enhance user experiences and contribute to the creation of technology driven business models.

Qualifications

· Provide between six and ten years of hands on experience in ABAP development with a strong portfolio of delivered projects in upgrade conversion and new implementation engagements within SAP landscapes.

· Demonstrate deep proficiency in core ABAP advanced ABAP concepts and object oriented design patterns including modularization exception handling and performance tuning for complex programs.

· Apply expert level skills in ABAP development for SAP HANA including CDS views AMDP and optimized data access strategies that leverage in memory computing for real time analytics.

· Offer practical experience with cloud ABAP J and modern SAP cloud development paradigms including extensibility concepts and integration with cloud based services and APIs.

· Bring proven experience in new product development within technology domains showcasing the ability to design scalable features manage technical risks and support iterative releases.

· Exhibit strong debugging troubleshooting and optimization abilities in ABAP to quickly resolve issues across modules and improve system reliability and response times.

· Communicate clearly with cross functional teams and business partners in a hybrid work environment managing expectations on scope timelines and technical constraints without requiring frequent travel.
