Android Developer

Looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a fast-paced, consumer-facing product team. You’ll design and build flexible Android components that work across phone, tablet, and TV, using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android tools. You’ll own technical design for mid-size projects and help shape the architecture of the app layer on top of existing backend microservices, delivering for Android mobile, tablet, Android TV, and Fire TV.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Implement UI/UX designs from Figma to pixel-perfect execution, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-impact features on time.
• Build reusable components and SDK modules that can be extended across multiple Android form factors.
• Integrate APIs and real-time data sources, including REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline setup, and continuous improvement of build and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across a variety of Android devices and OS versions.
• Stay current with Android ecosystem trends, architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Jetpack Compose), and best practices in testing and automation.

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience in a production environment.
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin, with strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and material design principles.
• Proven experience building and shipping apps to the Google Play Store (end-to-end lifecycle).
• Experience developing extensible, data-driven applications integrated with modern backend services.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, coroutines, and reactive patterns.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and UI testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience building for AndroidTV, FireTV, or other CTV platforms.
• Exposure to media streaming, video playback, or interactive video applications.
