Your Role

As a Junior Cloud Data Engineer (Academy Program) at Capgemini , you will begin your professional journey in Data Engineering through a structured learning and development program designed to build expertise in modern data and cloud technologies.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in data processing, cloud platforms, and data pipeline development while contributing to real business projects. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to develop a strong foundation in Data Engineering and Cloud technologies.

Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico

Responsibilities & Scope

• Support the development, maintenance, and monitoring of data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Work with SQL to perform data extraction, validation, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Assist in cloud-based data engineering tasks using technologies such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Databricks, and Snowflake .
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technical teams in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions.
• Support data quality initiatives by helping identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Contribute to performance improvement and optimization activities for data processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Learn and apply data engineering best practices, cloud concepts, and modern data technologies.
• Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions as required.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 months of experience through internships, academic projects, traineeships, or professional experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of data management and database concepts .
• Foundational knowledge of SQL .
• Understanding of data processing and ETL concepts .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to dynamic environments.

• Exposure through academic projects, internships, or personal projects to cloud and data technologies such as:
• Microsoft Azure
