Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer (L2/L3 Support)
Location: Hybrid Guadalajara
Duration Contract
Job Summary:
We are looking for an AWS Platform Engineer with strong L2/L3 support experience to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, ensuring high availability, and supporting cloud-based applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 support for AWS-based infrastructure and applications
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, alerts, and outages
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
- Handle deployments, patching, and environment maintenance
- Work with DevOps and development teams for issue resolution and improvements
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
- Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization in AWS environments
- Participate in on-call support rotation
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience in L2/L3 production support environments
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)
- Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, Load Balancers)
- Experience with incident management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator)
- Exposure to DevOps practices
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience in 24x7 support environments
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
