Job DescriptionSenior Services ConsultantAt Zendesk, we help companies build better customer experiences — and our Services Consultants play a key role in making that happen.As a Senior Services Consultant, you'll lead the implementation of Zendesk solutions for a portfolio of enterprise customers.
You'll work across a variety of industries and complex use cases, so no two projects will look the same.
From discovery to go-live, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to customers — understanding their goals, designing thoughtful solutions, configuring workflows, guiding testing, enabling users, and supporting a successful launch.You'll collaborate with Project Managers, Technical resources, Account teams, Product, and Support partners — while independently owning your workstream and providing guidance to less experienced consultants.
This is a highly customer-facing role for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, navigating ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and helping customers realize value quickly.What you'll doLead complex customer discovery sessions to understand business needs, goals, challenges, and implementation requirementsAct as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations aligned to customer outcomes and Zendesk best practicesTranslate customer needs into scalable solution designs, implementation plans, and clear delivery requirementsConfigure and optimize Zendesk solutions to support sophisticated customer workflows and desired business outcomesIndependently own project workstreams across discovery, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live supportLead customer-facing working sessions and confidently facilitate discussions with technical and executive stakeholdersBuild and manage strong customer relationships throughout the implementation lifecyclePartner with Project Managers, Technical resources, Account teams, Product, and Support teams to ensure successful deliveryManage multiple enterprise customers and prioritize work effectively across a portfolioIdentify risks, dependencies, and blockers early, and proactively drive resolution with internal and customer stakeholdersDevelop and deliver testing plans, training materials, enablement sessions, and go-live readiness activitiesMentor and provide guidance to Services Consultants and contribute to team capability developmentShare implementation insights, reusable assets, and best practices that improve delivery quality and efficiencyContribute to internal initiatives that strengthen the Services organization and customer experienceHelp customers launch successfully and maximize the value of their Zendesk investmentWhat we're looking for5+ years of SaaS implementation, consulting, or professional services experienceDemonstrated experience leading complex implementations for enterprise customersStrong discovery, facilitation, solution design, and consultative selling skillsProven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, practical solutionsExperience managing multiple projects or workstreams and prioritizing across competing deadlinesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and executive audiencesStrong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindsetComfort navigating ambiguity, managing stakeholders, and operating independently with limited oversightDemonstrated ability to identify risks, make sound decisions, and drive work through to completionExperience mentoring peers or contributing to the development of less experienced consultantsStrong understanding of implementation methodologies, change management, testing, training, and go-live practicesOrganized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentTravel as neededWhy this roleThis is a great opportunity for an experienced consultant who enjoys variety, ownership, and meaningful customer impact.
