Customer Service, Export Specialist LATAM
In this role, you are the main point of contact for customer support. You will provide excellent customer service to external customers and distribution partners using your business, product, and order process knowledge. You will work with departments like supply chain, logistics, and quality. You will support sales and customers to meet their expectations and improve customer satisfaction, contributing to the business's profitability.
Responsibilities
- Order to Cash
- Business Segments designated.
- Managed the order process from order entry to cash specialized for ocean and air shipment.
- Handle all export process documents such as Incoterms, Proforma invoices, booking notifications, draft Bill of Lading, Consignee and notify, advice booking notification, certificates of origin, invoice breakdown, packing list, certificate of analysis, global track and trace, airwaybill, telex release, etc. Also receive, enter, and handle customers' non-conformance/claims and provide proper feedback. Coordinate with carriers, customers, warehouse, and freight forwarders on credit notes, debit notes, and return of material.
- Act as the interface communication flow between customers / account managers, logistics, and all other support departments; finance, product stewardship, trade compliance, quality, freight forwarders, and warehouses.
- Analyze data from SAP to provide follow-up on shipments to customers.
- Build a sustainable relationship of trust through open and proactive communication.
- Serve as backup for other account specialists outside the normal backup schedule and participate in functional and related projects.
- Support internal and external order management audits.
Travel
Global travel is required for training, and then to meet with customers in Latin America in the future.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years in logistics/customer service, including 3+ years with Incoterms, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and export documentation.
- Customer-focused with proven relationship-building skills in complex international settings.
- Mastery of SAP (SD module) and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong business acumen.
- Proven collaboration, coaching, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to begin working at 7:00 am.
Preferred
- Experience in the chemical industry.
- Proficiency in Portuguese.
