Concept Design Manager

Founded in 1997, Clase Azul México is a luxury spirits brand offering a complete portfolio of ultra-premium agave-based spirits from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. We are proud to collaborate with local Mexican artisans who handcraft each of our decanters. We are looking for a Concept Design Manager with a profound understanding of product design, three-dimensional thinking and materiality. You instinctively understand proportion, volume and form, and you communicate ideas through sketching, digital modelling and physical prototypes with clarity and confidence.

An understanding of ceramics and crafted manufacturing processes is essential. You appreciate the dialogue between concept and execution, balancing creative ambition with technical excellence while collaborating closely with engineering, development and production.

Key Responsibilities

Translate the Creative Direction vision into actionable concepts, narratives, and creative guidelines by exploring mood boards and creative briefs while aligning with established trends, market insights, feasibility considerations, and brand values. This will ensure that every project consistently supports the brand’s strategy, identity, and positioning.

Manage the conceptual planning of the creative portfolio by defining initiative priorities based on strategic alignment, innovation potential, launch timelines, and business needs, ensuring a focused creative proposition that supports the brand’s objectives.

Partner with Project Managers to strategically and holistically assign projects across the design team, considering each designer’s strengths, areas of expertise, workload, and development opportunities to ensure the successful execution of the creative vision.

Lead and support the team in developing creative concepts for new products, limited editions, collaborations, experiences, and portfolio updates through creative workshops, ensuring consistency with the brand’s codes of luxury, craftsmanship, and sophistication.

Integrate and evaluate insights from trends in art, design, luxury, materials, processes, culture, and consumer behavior to identify creative opportunities that strengthen the brand’s innovation, differentiation, and evolution.
