Regional Controller

The Regional Controller is responsible for leading and overseeing all financial activities across multiple business units, plants, or locations within the assigned region. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance with corporate policies, effective internal controls, accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial support to regional leadership.

The Regional Controller serves as a key business partner to operational and executive teams, providing financial analysis and recommendations that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding financial, operational, and strategic business information.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead regional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Oversee regional accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and corporate accounting policies, as applicable.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Partner with regional leadership to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business growth opportunities.
• Drive financial discipline and cost-control initiatives throughout the organization.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements within the region.
• Monitor working capital performance, including inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations regarding pricing, profitability, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, restructuring activities, and integration projects when applicable.
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting personnel within the region.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and reports for senior management.
• Maintain the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and business information.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controlling roles.
• +5 years of leadership experience within a regional, multi-site, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience supporting senior management and driving business performance through financial analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team development capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professional integrity and discretion.
